Jamier Wright-Collins

JAMIER WRIGHT-COLLINS of Panther Academy won the High Jump at the NJSIAA Group 4 Championship with a jump of 6'8.  He is currently ranked #1 in NJ and #1 Junior in the US. He is also ranked #12 overall in the US and #3 all time indoor in Passaic County History! 

JFK Outdoor Track

Congratulations to Jamier Wright Collins of the Kennedy Knights track team who cleared 6'6'' to win the high jump event in last weekend's NJSIAA State Sectional North 1 Group 4 Championships. He is currently ranked 4th in the state and 7th overall in Passaic County History. Wright Collins, who attends PANTHER Academy, is one of three Kennedy track team members who are all Passaic County Champions The others are Benae Johnson from International High School and Kevin Francis from SET Academy.

Taniesha Gilbert

Congratulations to Taniesha Gilbert of the JFK girls basketball team who scored her 1000th point in last night's game against Clifton High School. Gilbert's 33 points were a huge contribution
to the team's 52-30 victory over Clifton.


Ky’Zirah Townes, senior student-athlete for the Girls Varsity Basketball Team at Eastside High School Campus, won the Jersey Sports Zone Game Ball for recording aTRIPLE DOUBLE: 19 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists against Bogota High School. Congratulations Ky'Zirah...keep pushing forward!

MEDCO grant

On Tuesday July 17, 2018, PFATS, Medco Sports Medicine, Cramer Sports Medicine and members of the New York Giants athletic training staff presented Bill Ford, athletic trainer at Eastside High School and Nicholas Semeniuk, athletic trainer at J.F.K. Education Complex, athletic training supplies and equipment as part of an inaugural high school initiative.

Middle School soccer team

 The Paterson United Middle School Soccer team won the North East Charter School Athletic Soccer League on Monday, June 4th at Orange Park, NJ. They are coached by our own Emir Liguori, coordinator. The elite team is made up Paterson Public School students from various schools across the district who play in the Middle School Soccer Program.

Old timers athletic association

The Paterson Old Timers Athletic Association honored Coach Joy Martinez and Kennedy Track member Jadon Watson at the 72nd Sports Award Luncheon on Sunday, June 3.  Coach Martinez received the Bill Kehoe Memorial Award for Track Coach and Jadon received the Tom Lichtenberg Memorial Award for Track.  Pictured from left to right are Kennedy Athletic Director Scott Durham, Coach Martinez, Old Timers President and Garrett Morgan Teacher Steven King, Jadon Watson, and Coach Blake Rosen.  Congratulations to Coach Martinez and Jadon Watson.

Lamar Johnson

Eastside High School Ghosts senior Lamar Johnson scored 20 points against the Kennedy Knights thus putting him into the elite 1,000 career points club! Amazing!

Passaic County Championship

Congratulations to Benae Johnson to win triple jump with a jump of 36’1 at the Passaic County Championship.  Girls 4x1 relay Akilah Williamson --BTMF, Benae Johnson- International, Christina Hines-  BTMF and Aminata Coulbaly-  STEM with a time of 50.2

2017-18 Boys Basketball All-League

Jadon Watson

Jadon Watson of Stem Academy placed 5th in the High Jump clearing 6'10 3/4 inch at the New Balance National High School Championships, giving him All American honors. With that height he broke his own John F. Kennedy record and the Passaic County record which has been up for twenty three years. He ended the 2018 Track and Field indoor season ranked #1 in NJ and #8 in the US.
